Day 1 - Thursday, August 26, 2021

3:30 AM (EST) - Woke up

Woke up at our home. Prepared items such as our backpacks and luggage, and took a taxi to the Toronto Pearson International Airport.

6:15 AM (EST) - Takeoff

We took off from YYZ on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The morning flight had great views due to the clear sky.

The aircraft had TVs and the crew offered drinks.

PST times below.

8:45 AM - Landed at Vancouver International Airport

Girish uncle picked us up from the airport and took us to their home in Surrey, B.C. The drive was around 30 minutes.

We enjoyed dose along with chutney and we went out into the backyard to see their plants.

We also met their black cat.

After not doing much for around 2 hours, we left to visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

12:45 PM - Capilano Suspension Bridge

We arrived at the Capilano Suspension Bridge after a short drive. At the attraction, we observed information about the bridge, such as its Native American name.

The weather that day was rainy, so the ground was slippery.

We then went on the main bridge, which was a small, hanging suspension bridge that spanned around 100 metres. It was slippery. The drop and view was spectacular, albeit slightly scary.

We went on the treetop bridges afterwards, then back over the main bridge. Then, we went on the cliff walk.

All of us were wet and tired.

3:30 PM - Exploring Vancouver's Downtown

After departing from the Capilano Bridge, we went to the Vancouver downtown. We drove around the reached Canada Place, and we considered going on Flyover Canada, but it was too late. The show was at 6:30 PM.

We drove around the downtown (which somewhat resembled San Francisco's). We then saw the steam clock go off at 4:00 PM.

5:00 PM - Back Home

We arrived at their home at around 5:00 PM.

We slept at around 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
