Day 4 - Sunday, August 29, 2021

9:30 AM - Departed to Downtown

We departed to downtown Vancouver at 9:30 AM. We went to Canada Place, which had wonderful views of the shoreline.

11:30 AM - Flyover Canada Show

Our visit was to Flyover Canada, which was an interactive, immersive, IMAX-like experience of the beauty of Canada. Our show began with a boring video, then a flight safety tutorial. Then, we hopped into the main viewing centre, in which we experience views of Canada in 4D (with added effects, such as mist).

The main show was only around 10-15 minutes, making it too short to grasp the experience.

After the show, we went to a nearby Subway and ate lunch.

1:30 PM - Leaving to Stanley Park

We then departed to Stanley Park, an urban park in downtown Vancouver. There, we went to the second beach, where Vyas and I played soccer for around one hour.

We then walked down the beach to a funny attraction which contained statues making funny poses and faces.

We then left Stanley Park in two cars (we missed the first exit from the park's road loop, adding 15 minutes to our route).

4:15 PM - Reservoir With a View

We arrived at a reservoir which had incredible views of a mountain and a lake. We took multiple pictures there and enjoyed the view. The view looked like a painting.

Then, we went to the nearby Grouse Mountain.

4:45 PM - Grouse Mountain

We arrived at Grouse Mountain, and took a short (6 minute) closed gondola up the mountain. There, we watched a comedic lumberjack show, where two lumberjacks battle through various challenges. After the show, we received a piece of wood as a souvenir. The show lasted around half an hour.

Then, there was another gondola (open-air) that would take us more up the mountain. This gondola was around 10 minutes, and it had incredible, 360ยบ views of the Vancouver area and nearby mountains.

Up the mountain, we took more pictures of the incredible views.

We then came down the open-air gondola and went to a restaurant, where we ate cinnamon buns and drank creamy hot chocolate.

We also saw footsteps, which was a coincidence, since the next day was Krishna Janmashtami and it is a tradition to draw Krishna's footsteps.

Finally, we came down the larger, closed gondola to our car. We finally departed to Sri Periyava, a restaurant.

8:15 PM - Dining at Sri Periyava

We arrived at Sri Periyava, a restaurant in Surrey that specialized in dosas and other South Indian food. We met other family friends of Girish Uncle at the restaurant.

There, we ate a palette of food, which included gobi manchurian, channa bhatura, shahi paneer, rava dosa, masala dosa, aloo paratha, just to name a few.

We then arrived back home, and slept.
